With the change of leadership, a new woven name was devised from the company name "Masuya Gensuke" that has been passed down in our company. We will continue to carry on the traditional "Kou" and "Shuko" woven names on our products. We appreciate your patronage of all our trademarks.

Kinkakuji Salon is a place run by Masuya Takao where you can get help with any kimono troubles you may have.
Masuya Takao is responsible for passing on the knowledge and ways of wearing and caring for kimonos that have been passed down to the next generation.
We offer comprehensive support with plans tailored to each individual customer, from cleaning and re-tailoring kimonos, to buying and selling, kimono dressing lessons, fashion advice, and weaving experiences that allow you to create your own special pieces while keeping the SDGs in mind. We also provide a storage service for customers' kimonos, keeping them in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment, and can deliver them to you as needed.

RENTOBI is an obi rental service that allows you to experience the comfort of a Masuya Takao obi.
We don't just lend out obi, we also offer suggestions on how to coordinate it with your kimono.
We will provide you with a kimono that you are satisfied with after consulting with you to bring out the charm of your current kimono.

Among the many Nishijin weaving factories, you can get a close-up look at a working factory where hand looms and mechanical looms, now rare in today's world, are in full operation and see the craftsmen's techniques.
